A summer program where students shine their brightest.
The Summer Explorations program at Swift School supports children entering grades 1 through 5 to improve their academic skills in reading and writing. Interspersed throughout the day are enrichment activities where students participate in STEM activities, explore fine and performing arts, and enjoy minute-to-win-it and water games with their classmates.
Summer Explorations utilizes the Orton-Gillingham approach to maintain school-year gains and prepare students for the coming school year. Language learning challenges are admired, but not required—Summer Explorations is open to all students entering grades 1 through 5.
Visit this page in January 2019 for dates, tuition and registration deadlines for the Summer 2019 program.
About Swift School
Swift School was founded in 1998 by Gail Swift, a talented, passionate educator of dyslexic students. The school’s mission and focus is to prepare children with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences to be successful in life. Swift’s holistic approach to education includes a comprehensive learning environment that systematically addresses a student's individual language needs within a rich and stimulating academic program which seeks to identify and develop strengths. At Swift, students gain the keys to unlock language, build confidence and emerge as academically prepared, enthusiastic about learning and skilled in self-advocacy.
