Speech and Language Support

Swift School's ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) provide comprehensive support services tailored to meet the developmental needs of students across all grade levels. For students in Grades K-2, services are delivered through a pull-out model, where SLPs conduct targeted speech and language skill development in small group settings during 30-minute sessions held 1-2 times per week. Students in Grades 3-8 benefit from a research-based push-in model that follows best practices for this age range, with SLPs collaborating directly with classroom teachers twice weekly during Language Arts instruction to support speech and language growth through the Wit & Wisdom/Writing Revolution curriculum, ensuring functional application of speech-language goals within the academic context. For students requiring additional language support in Grades 3-8, supplemental pull-out sessions are available in small group 30-minute formats. Middle school students also have access to SLP support during advisory periods through a pull-out model, with sessions available 1-2 times per week to reinforce instructional goals and provide targeted intervention as needed.
