Tutoring is offered year-round and open to all students. During the school year, tutors are available before and after the academic day. Swift's program provides a comfortable environment for students to build on academic skills. They receive one-to-one care and support from tutors who are Orton-Gillingham (OG) trained Swift teachers.

Our tutors are skilled in providing support to students with language-based learning differences, attention/executive functioning disorders, and other cognitive processing weaknesses. They are additionally qualified to provide reading and spelling instruction following the Orton-Gillingham approach. Tutors are members of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators (AOGPE) and have completed extensive coursework and a supervised practicum as part of their training. Support is also available in reading comprehension and fluency, written expression, and mathematical concepts and skills.

Speech and Language Services

During the summer months, Swift School offers Speech and Language Therapy for individual students. Our licensed Speech Language Pathologists provide services for Articulation, Expressive, and Receptive Language Disorders and weaknesses. Targeted goals and progress reporting are included in this service.
