Welcome Back!

Swift School faculty and staff are looking forward to greeting all new
and returning students when normal school hours resume on Monday, January 8.

For your reference, a review of key information regarding Swift's hours, carpool and extended care services is below.

The below is not a comprehensive review of all policies related to school hours and the referenced programs. For complete information, see the 2017-18 Swift School Family Handbook.


School Hours

• Lower Division: 8:15 a.m.–2:45 p.m.
• Middle Division: 8:00 a.m.–3:10 p.m. 

Morning Carpool

• Enter the campus and proceed through the carpool loop as directed by signage, directional arrows and staff.
• Students must be able to exit from the driver's side of the vehicle.
• Do not attempt to park and walk your child/children into the building. (Parking and walking across the carpool line is dangerous and disrupts the flow of traffic.)

Middle Division

Drop off begins at 7:30. The drop off area is located by the first set of stairs in the east parking lot.

Lower Division

Drop off begins at 7:50 a.m. Drop off students at the main entrance.

Unless enrolled in the before care program, Lower Division students will not be received prior to 7:50 a.m. Students should wait in their vehicles until a staff member is present for morning drop off.

Students dropped off prior to 7:50 a.m. will be supervised in the Before Care program until 7:55 a.m. The drop-in fee applies.

Afternoon Carpool

Follow the directions of school personnel concerning the carpool line-up. Do not pull out of line until directed to do so.

Lower Division

• Dismissal begins promptly at 2:45 p.m.
• School gates open for afternoon carpool at 2:35. Parents should not arrive any earlier as this creates traffic flow and program issues.
• LD students who are not picked up by 3:05 p.m. will be escorted to the after care program and will be charged the appropriate fees. (See below for extended care times and fees.)

Middle Division

• Dismissal time is 3:10 p.m.
• Students meet their carpool at the front entrance.
• Students who participate in team sports will be dismissed following return from practices/games.

Extended Care

Extended care is provided for families who require care before and/or after the academic day.

• Before care is offered to Lower Division students only.
• After care is open to all students.

The charge for child care is $13.25 per hour or any part of an hour the child is in attendance. All students are automatically enrolled in extended care on an "as needed" basis. Parents are invoiced monthly for services used.
