Faculty Appreciation Week=Mutual Appreciation Week

Being a faculty or staff member at Swift School comes with inherent rewards. Providing high quality education to students is not only fulfilling, it's also fun! Every week has special moments. Thanks to faculty appreciation chairs Karen Clark and Kelly Snell and involvement from caring parents, this week has highlighted those moments. Here are just a few:

  • "This has been a great week of reminders of why I teach! This is a quote from a note I received from a parent: 'You've been able to unlock her confidence and engage her in ways that no other teacher has ever been able to. We will be forever grateful that she had the good fortune to have you as a teacher. Thank you for reminding us of the power of a great educator.' "
    Mark Ware, 3rd Grade Lead

  • "I loved the cards! I even got one that was super sweet from a couple of 2nd graders, even though I teach 3rd grade. 'You are kind. You call me Cutie #1 and give me smiles and hugs.' "
    Mandy Menshon, 3rd Grade Lead

  • "A student's note said 'Even if we don't succeed the first time, you still love us to death.' Sweet!"
    Coach Croom

  • "As teachers, we see students develop throughout the year, but students don't always recognize how their work and persistence pay off. A student wrote me a card about how she'd grown this year in my class. It made me happy, proud, and very grateful. Thank you!"
    Miranda Foreman, Middle Division

The faculty and staff thank students and their families for all the kind expressions of appreciation this week. That appreciation is mutual—it has been a great year working with the 2017-18 students and families!
