Why Swift?

Because we teach dyslexic students the way they learn, using the proven Orton-Gillingham approach to help them thrive.

At Swift School, our mission is to prepare students with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences to be successful in life. Swift students learn effectively because our program uses Orton-Gillingham and other tools aligned with their natural learning style.

Success with dyslexia starts here.

Swift School’s highly trained and experienced teachers set us apart and are the heart of the program. All of Swift’s academic teachers complete Associate Level coursework in the Orton-Gillingham approach and are required to pursue Associate Level membership in the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators through completion of a practicum. Swift School has Orton-Gillingham Fellows on staff who supervise all OG instruction in the Lower and Middle Divisions and oversee all OG training and practicum supervision.

This level of training and commitment to the Orton-Gillingham methodology proves that we are committed and will continue to strive to provide the best education to our students who have been diagnosed with dyslexia and language-based learning differences.

Swift is immersive

Going to a tutor or being pulled out of class for language is one thing; at Swift, language learning is an all-day, totally immersive educational experience.

Swift is positive

At Swift School, the Orton-Gillingham approach is used consistently by all teachers across all disciplines. When a faculty is collectively trained to deliver language acquisition instruction, students benefit immeasurably. It makes for a seamless learning environment that accelerates progress.

Swift is transformative

After starting at Swift, students experience "The Swift Effect." Within weeks, students are transformed, and school becomes a place of joy and confidence. They are understood, appreciated, and empowered to discover their talents. Reading challenges are unlocked, self-esteem grows, and parents find renewed hope.
