Community Outreach

Community Outreach is an integral part of Swift School's mission and passion to create an environment that is exciting, challenging and supportive for our students and to build connections to families, friends, neighbors who share our world. Our current outreach programs include:

Take Charge! Raise Leaders!
Take Charge! Raise Leaders!  is a practical, solution based program designed to guide parents and families. Family is the most fundamental organization of all, and the complexities of modern life often leave parents seeking answers to the problems they encounter in parenting and family life roles.

Orton-Gillingham Courses
The Subscriber course is an introduction to the
Orton-Gillingham approach.  Participants will have an overview of the Orton-Gillingham approach presented by a Fellow/AOGPE covering: introduction to Orton-Gillingham, characteristics of dyslexia, neurological basis for multisensory teaching, phonology, history, and structure of the English language, and the Orton-Gillingham lesson.  Subscriber members are informed consumers but are not qualified to teach using the Orton-Gillingham approach.  A Subscriber member has completed a course of at least ten hours duration based on the Academy’s required curriculum at the Subscriber level.

Swift School Tutoring Program
Swift School Tutoring Program provides a comfortable environment for students to build on academic skills and to expand their learning. They receive one-on-one care and support from tutors who are committed to excellence.
