Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where is Swift School located?
A. Swift School is located at 300 Grimes Bridge Road, Roswell, GA 30075. The school is located just west of GA 400 off Exit 7: Holcomb Bridge Road.

Q. What grades are included at the school?
A. We offer grades 1 through 6.

Q. What are the school hours?
A. School begins at 8:30am and ends at 3:00pm.

Q. Does Swift School offer extended day opportunites?
A. Yes, we offer early morning care beginning at 7:15am and after school care ending at 6pm. There is an additional cost for these programs.

Q. Does Swift School offer any After School Clubs?
A. Yes, we offer a sports club and art club for an additional fee. We also offer an after school homework hour.

Q. Do you provide transportation?
A. No, we do not however many parents choose to carpool.  We provide zip code lists to assist you with planning.

Q. Does your school require uniforms?
A. Yes, we do. They can be purchased through Lands' End.

Q. Do you provide lunch at school?
A. Yes, we provide lunch daily which is included the cost of the tuition. Students are permitted to bring their lunch if desired.

Q. How many students at Swift School?
A. We currently have 108 children and anticipate continued growth.

Q. What is the student/teacher ratio?
A. The student/teacher ratio is 6:1.

Q. What type of curriculum is offered?
A. Swift School curriculum is specifically designed for children with dyslexia and related language-based learning differences.  The Orton-Gillingham Approach is the foundation of our program, which emphasizes teaching all subjects through multi-sensory techniques that involve the auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic pathways to the brain.

Q. Do you have a Physical Education program?
A. Yes. Our Physical Education program is an innovative model, which recognizes that skills development builds self-esteem and confidence.  Students participate in PE at a minimum of four times per week.

Q. How can I tour your school?
A. We offer tours every Tuesday morning at 9:00am. During the tour, you will meet with a representative of the School's Admissions Committee, tour our campus, observe our classrooms and have an opportunity to ask questions.  You must register in advance for a tour.  To schedule a tour, please call the Admissions Office at 678-205-4988 X207 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Q. What is the tuition?
A. The tuition for the 2009-2010 school year is $19,100 which includes tuition, lunch, books, and supplies. The tuition for the 2010-2011 school year is $19,700.

Q. Does Swift School participate in the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship/SB 10?
A. Yes, Swift School is a participant for the 2009-2010 school year. Refer to: http://public.doe.k12.ga.us/sb10.aspx for more information about the Georgia Special Needs Scholarship.
